I studied medicine at the universities of Hamburg and Graz. 

I completed my training as a specialist in ophthalmology at the university hospitals in Hamburg, Erlangen and Düsseldorf. 

I have German and European specialist accreditation. After my training in Germany, I studied and worked at the renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital (London) and at University College London, focusing on Laser eye corrections and lens operations.

I am a qualified scientist and lecturer at the medical faculty of the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. 

For more than 15 years I have been involved in the evaluation and improvement of refractive treatment procedures, i.e. Laser eye corrections and lens operationsAs a member of the “Refractive Surgery” section at the University Hospital Düsseldorf, my team and I supervise numerous scientific studies to make your treatment even safer.

I am a regular speaker at national and international conferences. My research activities focus on the topics Laser eye corrections and lens operations can be found via the button.
Since the winter semester of 2020, we have been an official academic partner of the Paracelsus Private Medical University in Nuremberg.
